Author Addresses U.S. History Classes

Stephen Puleo, historian and author of Dark Tide, the story of Boston’s Great Molasses Flood, recently spoke to about 100 U.S. History students at BLS. The students of Ed Kearns had read Dark Tide as part of their study of post WWI Boston and the United States.

Mr. Puleo spoke to the students and took questions about the book, the early 20th century in Boston, and other work he has completed. During a post-talk luncheon with Mr. Kearns, Sam Lowery (Class I), and History Dept. Program Director Tom Kennelly, Mr. Puleo noted how well prepared and engaged the students were for the discussion.

Kudos to Sam for reaching out to Mr. Puleo and setting up the visit.
