Outstanding Results National German Exam 2018 in Level 1!

36 Level 1 students receive national recognition, 26 earn medals on the 2018 National German Exam!

National German Exam Level 1 Results

While BLS students in levels 2, 3 and 4 took the National German Exam in January, the level 1 students just completed their exams in April. 5,445 students participated in the 2018 Level 1 Exam nationwide. 40 BLS level1 students took the exam this year.

Over 25,000 students participated in the exam this year. The National German Exam, now in its 58th year, rewards students through an extensive prize program and provide a means of comparing students in all regions of the US. Founded in 1926, the AATG represents German teachers at all levels of instruction. The AATG is dedicated to the advancement and improvement of the teaching of language, literature, and culture of the German‐speaking countries. Go to for more information.

40 BLS students in all took the level 1 exam with impressive results! 4 gold, 13 silver, 9 bronze and 10 honorable mentions. Congratulations to everyone and to level 1 teacher Frau Jennifer Kuchta! Students are listed alphabetically by last name and by prize.
