BLS Scholastic Art Winners 2018-19

Congrats to all of our talented artists!

Mr. Harris’ Students:

Holland Gillis, Grade 12, won two Honorable Mentions in Drawing and Illustration titled; Nadia and in Art Portfolio for her artwork titled, Characters

Zoe Shay-Tannes, Grade 11, won two Silver Key Awards in Drawing and Illustration titled; Behind the Mask and in the Design Category for her piece titled, Logo Redesign

Kyson Cheong, Grade 12, won a Silver Key Award in Mixed Media titled, Crush

Sophia Larkin-Dunphy, Grade 11, won a Silver Key Award in Drawing and Illustration titled, My Dad AKA Lunch Money Dunphy

Entered on her own under a private teacher but is in Mr. Harris’ A.P. Art Class:
Emily Liu, Grade 12, won five Gold Key Awards in Sculpture titled, The players and the played, Emotion, Claustrophobia, To eclipse glass walls, Forge

Emily Liu also won five Silver Key Awards in Sculpture titled; The darkness at the end of the tunnel, Stake, Another brick in the pyramidal-spherical-cylinder, The idea of pinkness versus greenness, A look into 2031 as a time traveler

Emily Liu also won Honorable mention in Sculpture title, I dig for fossil fuels and coal

Clara Reed, Grade 11, won a Gold Key Award in Drawing and Illustration titled, after 7 p.m.

Rachel Weng, Grade 10, won two Silver Key Awards in Drawing and Illustration titled, American Bison and Self-Portrait with Red Daisy

Entered on her own under a private teacher:
Karen Dong, Grade 8 won a two Honorable Mentions in Drawing and Illustration titled, Nosce Te Ipsum and Crossing a Bridge

Entered on her own under a private teacher:
Christina Wan, Grade 11, won an Honorable Mention in Drawing and Illustration titled, Grandparents

Irene Deng, Grade 8, won a Regional Honorable Mention for her piece titled, Embracing Change

Isabelle Goodrich, Grade 10, won a Regional Silver Key for her poem, What I See.
