This course is the second part of the required World History survey course. This course continues from where the students finished in World History I. Starting with the Age of Discovery, students will study major events such as the Renaissance, the Reformation, the Enlightenment period, and the Conquest of the Americas and the French Revolution. Moreover, the American Revolution and the World Wars will be analyzed form the World’s perspective. Since so many events in the world happened during the same time period, the course is taught thematically and not chronologically. This course is a required course taken during sophomore year.
