The Advanced Placement Chemistry course is available as an elective to students in the junior and senior years who have completed Chemistry I, and who may wish to pursue college level work in chemistry. The course follows a syllabus established by the College Board, based on a college introductory chemistry course taken by chemistry majors in their first year. The course will include the structure of matter, the states of matter, reactions, descriptive chemistry and laboratory work. N.B. All Advanced Placement Chemistry students are required to take the Advanced Placement Chemistry exam in May.
