Spotlight on Today's 21st Century Teaching & Learning at BLS: Senior Capstone

The Senior Capstone seminar at BLS, in its 2nd year, seeks to work with students to acquire sophisticated skills in developing research topics, conducting intensive multimedia research, refining presentation abilities, and producing an in-depth, sustained project that unites threads acquired through their middle and high school careers at Boston Latin School. The course culminates with students presenting their research via TED style talks. 2016 topics included: Gentrification, Race, Mental Health, Climate Change, Immigrant Aspirations, Technology and more. The course is made possible in part thanks to generous underwriting by the Wolk Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, an initiative made possible by Deanna and Sidney Wolk ’53 and family.
